We could not have had a better experience with Holger! From the moment of booking, everything went super smoothly. The fact that he picks you up from your accommodations makes this experience super accessible! What a treat! Holger was so kind and knowledgeable. He asked us about our experience levels and chose horses to match this experience. He helped adjust our riding styles a bit throughout the journey to make sure we were comfortable. We had so much fun learning about the area and history from Holger during our ride. We got super lucky with weather and a small group as well. I cannot emphasize enough how perfect our experience was! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to spend time with your horses and go on an exciting and fun journey for the afternoon! As someone who is relatively comfortable on a horse, this was a great experience. We got to go up to a canter for a portion of the ride. Holgar was a fantastic tour guide, giving tips for newer riders on how to handle the terrain. He was knowledgeable about horses and history and very kind. He clearly loves his animals and is passionate about learning. The terrain was beautiful to look at and we had well-spaced walking breaks. I would only recommend this for someone who is a bit more familiar with riding horses as it is a trail ride where you are guiding your own horse and sometimes the horses got competative with each other. Being comfortable with basic commands (like pulling back on the reigns to stop) is suggested before going on this ride.

Wow! What a special experience. Olger was the best tour guide we’ve had so far. This was only a 3-4 hour experience, so it was perfect for a “light day” in between a full day tour to Sacred Valley and hiking Machu Picchu. In our time in Lima and Cusco, this was by far our favorite trip. Holger was extremely knowledgeable on the history of Peru and the Incas, and spoke really great English. You will see some incredible views of Cusco and lesser known Incan ruins that are also beautiful. The horses are incredibly well trained, so even someone with no experience can feel comfortable on this tour. 10/10 recommend for anyone traveling through Cusco!

This experience was THE highlight our trip! Our group was picked up directly from our Airbnb which was a bit far out from the ranch then driven out to the ranch. From the get to you can tell how much Holger and his team love their horses. We were initially worried about booking with a ranch that doesn’t treat their animals well but IMMEDIATELY upon arriving at the ranch you see the love and care they have for the horses. The horses are beautiful and well trained! Holger somehow matched up every single one of us with the perfect horse. My horse, Sultan, was a big horse with the sweetest demeanour. Thank you to Holger and his wonderful team for providing us with an unforgettable experience in Peru.
